As a preface, I would
like to say that HW server does not indend at all to 'criticise
at every cost'. We do our own development, too, and we do
understand that it is not that easy to design and document
something. However, we think it necessary to inform our readers
about fundamental faults and errors of electronics components
that can cost a lot of time.(decreased
by about 8V) appears right at the output. So, according to
our measuremets, you can get up to 20V at the output of a
L7905 without a load.
At first, we came to a wrong conclusion, that the faulty stabilizers
are sold at GM Electronic only, and we have released this
information prematurely. Again, we do apologize to GM Electronic
for releasing this information. The fault is definitely caused
by ST, the manufacturer.
Then, we have studied
carefully the datasheets. There, they do clearly state that
the output voltage is guaranteed in a certain load current
range; however, there is NO warning, that a voltage four times
higher than the nominal output can appear at the output pin.

TRANSFORMERS AND REACTORS
Modern produces different types of transformers and reactors
that are installed in its power conditioning equipments. Its
low voltage dry type iron core transformers which include
isolation transformers, auto transformers, constant voltage
transformers / stabilizers, vector transformers, voltage regulators,
filter reactors etc. are custom made as per the specifications
of its customers.
ISOLATION TRANSFORMERS
Isolation transformers help in establishing a new neutral-ground
bond to correct ground problems and also provides conversion
of Delta system to a Wye connected system. It is possible
to add electrostatic shields in isolation transformers to
protect the winding from high-frequency impulses. Hence, isolation
transformers are ideal to be used in power conditioners. At
the input terminal, 3rd harmonic wave distortions can be reduced
and at the output terminal, current wave distortions can be
isolated and reduced.
