My client is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer responsible for:

The design of electronic circuitry using skills in digital circuit design, PCB layout, microcontroller programming, analogue circuit design or power supply system and/or circuit design, as appropriate.
Component selection and specification.
Technical liaison with suppliers.
Optionally, technical liaison with customers.
Optionally, technical specification and documentation writing.
Optionally, product management and costing
Authorised to:

Design circuitry to meet a given requirements.
Check the performance and functionality of circuitry against a given requirement.
Write reports on performance and functionality testing.
Select and specify components and perform necessary supplier liaison.
Qualification criteria:

A suitable relevant academic qualification (e.g. but not confined to, a degree or HNC in electronics or another engineering or scientific discipline)

Useful experience (but not essential)

Configuring PC(Intel) CompactPCI, Sun or VME based computer systems.
LCD panel interfacing and video scan conversion.
Wiring harness designs for rugged environments.
Power supply/system design in particular utilising high power density dc-dc converter modules e.g. Vicor
Microcontroller circuit design and programming.
Use of PC based PCB CAD packages (esp. Tsien Boardmaker)
